Ticket design and printing
Every ticket Tikit sends can carry your artwork and your words, and every ticket can be downloaded as a PDF. You set it up on two tabs of an event: Ticket design and Printing.
Artwork
On Ticket design, choose Edit next to Every tier to give the whole event one image, or next to a single tier to give that tier its own. A tier without its own artwork uses the event's. Use a wide image, about 3 by 1: it prints across the top of the ticket, on the order page, in the confirmation email and on the PDF. Receipt-printer and Boca tickets are black and white and carry no artwork.
A note on every ticket
Each tier can carry a note of up to 280 characters, printed on every ticket of that tier: "VIP entrance is at Gate B. Bring your ID."
A message with every order
The Message with every order is for everyone who buys: up to 1 000 characters of plain text, such as where to park, what to bring and how to reach you. It shows on the order page, in the confirmation and transfer emails and on A4 PDF tickets. Links are not made clickable.
The sample ticket
The Preview on the same tab shows a sample ticket and lets you download it in each size. Buyers can open a sample from your event page with See a sample ticket. The public sample shows your artwork but never your tier notes or your message: that text is for people who have bought, so a gate code or an address you put there stays private.
Printable PDFs
On Printing, choose a tier (or all tiers) and a size, then Make PDF. The PDF is ready in a minute:
- A4 page, one ticket per page, with artwork and your message.
- 58 mm and 80 mm receipt printers, one ticket per slip.
- Boca ticket stock, 5.5 × 2 inches, with a tear-off stub. Print at 100%, with no scaling.
Printable PDFs are kept for 7 days and can only be downloaded from the Printing tab, by you. After that they are deleted and you can make them again. A single order has its own Tickets PDF link on the Orders tab.
A printed ticket and the ticket on the phone are the same ticket. Whichever is scanned first gets in, and a ticket is scanned once. Keep the PDF to yourself.
Live QR tickets are never printed: a code that changes every few seconds can't be put on paper, so they are left out of every PDF and the Printing tab says how many were. If you switch live QR on part-way through selling, orders from before the switch still have ordinary tickets and print as normal from the Printing tab.
Accreditation badges
Badges are for crew, press, artists and anyone else working the event. They are not tickets and they don't scan: door staff check them by eye against the name and the code printed on the badge.
- On Printing, choose Add people and paste one person per line: name, role, organisation, access. Roles are crew, press, artist, staff, vendor and guest; organisation and access are optional. Spreadsheet rows pasted with tabs work too.
- Choose who to print (everyone, or one role) and a size: A6, one badge per page, or A4, four badges per sheet with cut lines.
- Choose Print badges. Download the PDF from the same tab.
An event can hold 1 000 badges, and you can add up to 500 people at a time.
