Your team
You don't have to run everything yourself. Under Team in the sidebar, the owner of an organiser can invite other people, give each a role, and remove them again. You stay responsible for what they do.
The roles
- Owner — the account that created the organiser. Everything, including bank details, verification, the organiser profile and the team. There is one owner and it can't be handed over.
- Manager — events, ticket tiers, orders, refunds, door stewards, tracking links, attendees and the payouts view. Not bank details, verification, the organiser profile or the team.
- Door — only the Door and Attendees tabs of each event: add and switch off door stewards, see scans and the attendee list. Nothing that touches money, and no orders.
Pages a role can't use don't appear in that person's sidebar or event tabs, and opening one by its address sends them back to the overview.
Inviting someone
- Open Team, type their email address, pick a role and choose Send invite.
- They get an email saying who invited them, to which organiser, and what the role lets them do, with an Accept the invite button.
- They sign in, or create a Tikit account, with that exact email address, and choose Join. From then on they see your organiser in their dashboard.
The link works for seven days. Invites waiting shows every invite nobody has accepted yet; Send again re-sends the email and gives it another seven days, and Revoke stops the link working. You can have up to twenty invites waiting at once.
If the person already has a Tikit account without an organiser, the invite also appears on their set-up screen the next time they sign in.
One organiser per person
A Tikit account either owns one organiser or is on one organiser's team, never several. If you invite someone who already runs their own organiser or helps run another, Tikit says so when you send the invite, and they can't accept it until they leave the other one. Create a separate account with a different email address if you genuinely need to be in two places.
Changing a role or removing someone
On the Team page, pick a new role next to a member and choose Save. To remove someone, choose Remove and confirm. Both apply the next time they load a page. Events, orders and scans they worked on stay exactly as they are; only their access goes.
Deleting your own Tikit account while you're on someone's team removes you from it. Deleting an owner's account follows the usual rules for organisers.
